Founded in 2010, Stonewall Sports provides nonprofit, inclusive, low-cost, fun local sports leagues that are rooted in philanthropy and give back to their communities.
We believe everyone in organized sports should have the ability to be themselves. Stonewall Sports values each player for who they are and what they bring to the community. We also believe our community has the ability and responsibility to support others in need.
Our Story
The Stonewall sports story
Stonewall Sports started as a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering inclusive and supportive environments for LGBTQIA+ individuals and their allies.
Established in 2010, the nearly entirely volunteer-run organization was born from the recognition that representation and community engagement are vital in the world of sports.

2026 Stonewall Sports
National Tournament
OCTOBER 22-25, 2026
Who doesn't love a twist? That's right. In 2026, Stonewall Sports, Inc., is remixing the 12th Annual National Tournament. In partnership with the Stonewall Sports Norfolk chapter, we're bringing the full weekend of festivities to Virginia Beach, Va., in the fall.
With a strong, inclusive LGBTQIA+ community, the Norfolk chapter is inviting you to the gorgeous Hampton Roads, home to seven sister cities ready to welcome you for a weekend of competition and community.
Join nearly 3,000 LGBTQIA+ people and their allies from across the U.S. to connect, compete, and create community from Oct. 22-25, 2026.
